Welcome motif backgammon to the GNU Backgammon web site. This site will help you
download jelly fish backgammon and install GNU Backgammon, and give you tips on how to use
GNU Backgammon to improve your game. GNU Backgammon is a world play backgammon online money class
backgammon application, and it works on many operating systems. It can
play, analyse and teach backgammon. Its evaluation engine is based on

Latest motif backgammon Windows distribution
A new Win32 install backgammon backgammon accessory archive has been built (code snapshot 20060920) and it is available for download here (17Mb). Run the executable and backgammon piece follow directions for the installation.
Note: this build should fix the motif annotation problem (annotations not saved in files), some minor GTK-related problems and it should now be possible to call the IDLE Python shell (you need a full python installation for that). It internet backgammon also fix a problem related to full screen mode and download play65 it offers Keith's count.
Note: if you have installed a "recent" backgammon motif backgammon distrib, you can try updating only the two executables with the ones of this archive (1.2Mb).

Phish email warning playing backgammon in your browser for registered user
I've just recieved a email from abuse@gnubg.org. The subject of the email is "Account Alert". This backgammon sets email is not from anyone in the motif project or from anyone that's motif in any way connected to the GNU Backgammon project. Please ignore the message and do not click the link. The 'confirmation' link provided in the message is of course false. Do not motif backgammon click the backgammon game boards link.

GNU Backgammon wins the 2006 Computer Olympics motif backgammon !!
Hi all,
I'm back from Torino where GnuBG has just won the 2006 Computer Olympics Backgammon "tournament", download play65 defeating its only opponent, BGBlitz by Frank backgammon directions Berger. Final score is 3-1 (best of 5 matches, 15pts each), with individual scores of 3-15, 16-12, 15-8 and 17-13.
Analysed matches (supremo, g11 met) can be downloaded backgammon here (359Kb).
For the records, BGBlitz is truly strong: it has been rated by gnubg analysis in the 4 matches as 1997.4, 2004.5 2035.1 and motif backgammon 2025.4 (FIBS pogo backgammon rating) and in the first two matches, Frank used by mistake the "old" engine (winning one of them anyway).

Win32 commandline build backgammon supply with SSE support
Some are asking if there is a commandline version available for Windows with SSE download play65 support. Yes, now there is. Download here. This build has not been tested much, so please report if there's something wrong. I believe it should work with Tony Lezards Dueller.

The Italian site Non Ti motif backgammon Pago has released a web page featuring a download of GNU Backgammon cheat for backgammon on pogo (for Windows) together with a translation to Italian. Web site reopened
After a terrible disk crash at our web host, we have now been able to reopen the play65 real money website based on backups. There still might be some problems logging in. If backgammon club you have any problems logging in it's suggested that you create a new user. If you see any problems with the web site, please report to webmaster.

One-sided race free internet backgammon database reaches the midpoint
A one-sided race database that extends to the 13-point is now available for download.
General information play motif backgammon about using bearoff databases can be found here, including instructions for rolling your own.
The file is a large one 1.6 GB, and may take close to a day to download even on broadband.

The last GTK+-1.3 Windows free backgammon game build available
Some of you have reported that there was a bug in the previous version. Cube analysis was inconsistent and gave different results each time you pressed a evaluation button. This bug has been found and fixed.
Because of this bug fix, here is the last build of GNU Backgammon for Windows based on GTK+-1.3 libraries that will ever be available from this site.
The installation archive is avaliable for download here. You can check agains my detached signature here. If you want the md5 checksum it should be: ff6105618d914db4bfc8e717ca820468.
The archive contains the usual stuff with the main executable of the CVS sources from Wednesday March 2nd 2005.
